French Unions in Twilight Zone

EURSOC spotted a banner carried by French striking union leaders. Link.
"We demand:

1. Higher wages

2. Shorter working hours

3. An end to jobs going overseas"

I had to double check the URL to be sure that I hadn't gone to The Onion by mistake, but, no, not even The Onion could come up with something this ludicrous. You do not have to have studied under Ludwig von Mises to know that there is something very wrong with the reasoning behind that banner. In the real world, you can have 1 and 2, but not 3, or you can have 3, but not 1 and 2. In the real world, people have to make choices. True, in their super welfare state, the French leave most choices to the government, but there are still some choices that cannot be avoided, whether by the government or by the populace. This is one of them.
